Scoliosis: noticing asymmetry and seeking assessment
Three illustrated steps on back asymmetry, assessment and the limits of observation at home. This is not an Adams test tutorial.

Notice asymmetry
An uneven shoulder or waist may deserve attention. Appearance alone cannot confirm scoliosis.

Assessment provides context
The clinician examines the back and growth, then decides whether X-rays and further checks are needed.

Not a home diagnostic test
A drawing or photograph cannot measure the curve or establish whether a brace is needed.
Illustrations and general information for families. They do not replace an individual medical assessment or instructions from the treating team.
