Questions and non-urgent requests

Immediate assessment in the Emergency Department is indicated in the presence of evident deformity, severe pain that cannot be controlled, inability to bear weight or use the limb, a significant wound, altered sensation or circulation, or fever with joint pain or refusal to bear weight. In stable pictures or minor trauma, an outpatient assessment can be considered according to the clinical context.

Which appointment should I book?
Book a first visit if the child has not been seen by Dr Daniele Priano in private (intramural) practice in the previous 11 months, even if they have already had orthopaedic visits with other specialists: consultations with other doctors do not count, and a visit with Dr Priano more than 11 months earlier requires a first-visit booking. The follow-up visit is reserved for patients already seen by Dr Priano in private (intramural) practice within the previous 11 months.

Payments, private practice and insurance
Paediatric orthopaedic visits under private practice at ASST Gaetano Pini-CTO follow the administrative procedures set by the hospital.
Payment is made directly to the hospital, not to the doctor.
In case of surgical indication, any admissions and paediatric orthopaedic procedures under the private practice regime are managed according to the administrative pathway of ASST Gaetano Pini-CTO, with estimates and management by the hospital's competent offices.
